Jordan Spieth's playoff win over Daniel Berger yesterday at the PGA Tour Travelers Championship delivered CBS a 2.7 overnight rating, marking the second-best figure this season for any Tour event on any net (excludes majors). The high remains a 2.9 overnight for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am back on Feb. 12, which also was a Spieth win. Yesterday's final round peaked at a 3.7 rating from 6:00-6:30pm ET. On the same weekend last year, CBS had coverage of the Quicken Loans National, which saw Billy Hurley III take the win. That telecast drew a 2.0 overnight. Last year's Travelers Championship aired in early August up against the Rio Games. The final round of that event, which saw Russell Knox win by one stroke over Jerry Kelly, drew only a 1.1 overnight on CBS. The '15 Travelers Championship, which aired in its normal June spot, drew a 2.3 for the final round, which saw Bubba Watson win. Yesterday's ratings bump is now two in a row for the PGA Tour on Sundays (excluding the U.S. Open).
WINE COUNTRY: FS1 on Sunday afternoon drew a 1.9 overnight for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race from Sonoma Raceway, down 14% from a 2.2 last year. The 1.9 also is down 21% from FS1's 2.4 overnight in '15.
