The Univ. of New Mexico named Deputy AD/Internal Operations and Senior Woman Administrator JANICE RUGGIERO acting AD as the school "prepares to embark on a national search to replace the retiring PAUL KREBS." Ruggiero is the "first female to hold" the AD position for UNM (ALBUQUERQUE JOURNAL, 6/6).

EXECS: Presbyterian College named Univ. of Virginia-Wise AD DANNY STERLING to the same position (Presbyterian)....Baylor Univ. named Phoenix Final Four Local Organizing Committee Exec Dir & CEO DAWN ROGERS Deputy AD. She begins July 6. Rogers also spent over nine years as Arizona State Univ. Senior Associate AD and Senior Woman Administrator (Baylor)....The Blackhawks named communications agency Zeno Group Account Supervisor LYNDSEY STROOPE PR Manager (THE DAILY)....UConn President SUSAN HERBST will begin a four-year appointment representing the AAC on the NCAA BOD. Meanwhile, Univ. of Houston Chancellor RENU KHATOR was appointed AAC BOD Chair through '19, while Univ. of Memphis President DAVID RUDD will serve as BOD Vice Chair. USF AD MARK HARLAN and Memphis AD TOM BOWEN were also appointed to two-year terms as AAC Chair and Vice Chair, respectively, on the conference's AD Exec Committee (AAC)....Former MLB NL President LEONARD COLEMAN has been added to the Children's Healthcare Charity BOD, which serves as the host organization of the PGA Tour Honda Classic (PALMBEACHPOST.com, 6/5).
