Media Notes

In Las Vegas, Adam Candee reported Raiders preseason games will air on locally based KVVU-Fox, which "acquired exclusive TV rights to broadcast Raiders preseason games" from '17-19. The station also will "air the 'Silver and Black Show,' a weekly program featuring exclusive player and coach interviews, and in-depth features." The Raiders also "signed a two-year contract with Beasley Media Group as the team’s flagship radio station in Las Vegas." Raiders preseason and regular-season games will be broadcast on KCYE-FM and KDWN-AM (LASVEGASSUN.com, 6/1).

NEW DIGS: The Stars named former ESPN.com NHL writer Scott Burnside Senior Digital Correspondent. Burnside will produce digital media content for DallasStars.com by creating team- and league-related stories for the team's fans and a broader national audience. Burnside will also continue to report on league issues in his new role. Burnside spent the last 13 years with ESPN (Stars).

HOT START: In New Jersey, Bob Klapisch wrote Alex Rodriguez' work as an MLB analyst for FS1 has been "solid" and "impressive." Klapisch: "You know the game; you have an ability to explain it without sounding too technical or losing yourself in long-winded anecdotes about the good old days." Rodriguez praises younger players "without sounding bitter" about his "lost youth." All this "makes for good viewing" (Bergen RECORD, 6/1).
