Delaware North has promoted two longtime employees at its Buffalo HQ. RICK ABRAMSON has been elevated to Chief Customer Officer, a new position in the 102-year-old company. In addition, JIM HOUSER, formerly Delaware North’s group President of Sportservice, Parks & Resorts and Patina Restaurant Group, now fills Abramson’s old job as Exec VP & COO for the entire firm. For Abramson, the new title gives him greater flexibility to visit clients to maintain those relationships and increase the firm’s customer base, he said. Abramson has worked 52 years for Delaware North, including 10 years as Sportservice President. Houser has been employed with the company for 39 years. The promotions take effect tomorrow (Don Muret, Staff Writer).

EXECS: Adidas named former Nike Golf Global PR Manager BETH GAST Dir of PR in the company's Portland office. Gast "worked for more than a decade" at Nike and is "perhaps best known for her work on Nike Golf, where she worked on events around the world" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 5/30)....Learfield named Univ. of Wisconsin Business Development Consultant for the Athletic Department SCOTT SILVESTRI Badger Sports VP & GM of its UW property (THE DAILY)....The NHL Kings named GABE GELBARD Assistant to Community & Player Relations and CODY VAN RUEDEN Lil Kings & Events Coordinator (THE DAILY).
