Bruin Sports Capital Lands Longtime SI Staffer Scott Novak For Top Communications Role

Bruin Sports Capital has hired SCOTT NOVAK as its Head of Global Communications, where he will oversee internal and external communications for the fast-growing entity. Novak was with SI and parent Time Inc. for the past decade, most recently as Senior VP/Communications & Brand Development. While there he played a significant role in expanding the annual Sportsperson of the Year recognition into a major awards event featuring top celebrities and former honorees, as well as the debut of several new SI franchises. Novak also has been with DKC Public Relations and Rutgers Univ. At Bruin, Novak will lead messaging for Bruin’s portfolio that now includes interests in Italian media and technology outfit Deltatre, experiential marketing agency Engine Shop, venture fund Courtside Ventures and premium hospitality business On Location Experiences. “Scott’s unique skill set will be a tremendous resource to Bruin Sports capital as we seek to expand and take our businesses to the next level,” said Bruin Founder & CEO GEORGE PYNE.
