Oak View Group-owned Prevent Advisors, a security consultant for sports facilities, has hired former LAPD Deputy Chief and counter-terrorism expert MICHAEL DOWNING as its Exec VP/Security. Downing, with 35 years of experience, is responsible for designing security programs customized for arenas and stadiums. Downing joins former LAPD Chief and NYPD Commissioner BILL BRATTON, law enforcement and intelligence experts MARK CAMILLO and MICHAEL RODRIQUEZ, and NHL Panthers Exec Chair PETER LUUKKO, all members of the Prevent Advisors’ BOD. The group was founded by ex-Special Forces military officers CHRIS ROBINETTE and BEN TOLLE. Downing started his new job Monday (Don Muret, Staff Writer).
