The HOLLYWOOD REPORTER's Eriq Gardner reported Iconix Brand Group is "suing" Roc Nation, Jay Z, MLB Properties and other entities in New York federal court. According to the lawsuit, "special 'Roc Nation' baseball caps on the market have denied Iconix the benefits of a licensing agreement." Iconix said that in '07, it "forked over" $204M and was "conveyed certain intellectual property from Jay Z's Roc Nation." Iconix is a brand manager whose portfolio "includes Marc Ecko, Umbro and Artful Dodger" (HOLLYWOODREPORTER.com, 5/2).

GREEN DREAMS: California-based mobile golf app developer 18Birdies has created a new rewards program, DreamGames, that offers the chance to win a variety of prizes for playing rounds and completing course reviews within the apps. The debut of DreamGames will be supported by a national TV spot on Golf Channel and promotional relationships with PGA Tour players Willy Wilcox and Harold Varner III, and social media personality Paige Spiranac (Eric Fisher, Staff Writer).

: In N.Y., Lisa Fickenscher reports toy brand Spinners Only has "inked deals with MLB, and the NBA, NFL, NHL and NCAA to slap team logos on the stress-relieving devices." The new company that formed last week will add fidget spinners to a lineup that "features league-licensed bobbleheads" (N.Y. POST, 5/3).

NBA NOTES: Panini America has signed Trail Blazers G Damian Lillard to an exclusive multiyear deal for autographed trading cards and memorabilia (Panini)....Michael Jordan yesterday visited his alma mater Laney High School to "shoot part of a Gatorade commercial" (Wilmington STAR NEWS, 5/3).
