NHL linesman DON HENDERSON filed a $10.25M (all figures C) lawsuit Tuesday in Calgary court against Flames D DENNIS WIDEMAN "more than a year after Wideman hit Henderson from behind" during a game against the Predators. Henderson "seeks general damages of $200,000, special damages to pay for housekeeping, yard work and hospital expenses of $50,000, and damages for loss of income and future loss of income" of $10M. The Flames are also "listed as a defendant" (TSN.ca, 4/20).

NAMES: Former NBAer STEVE NASH is behind a new series, "DR. JAMES NAISMITH: THE REINVENTION OF BASKETBALL." Nash's production company, Meathawk, produced the series featuring Grizzlies F VINCE CARTER, Warriors G STEPHEN CURRY, Raptors G KYLE LOWRY, Mavericks F DIRK NOWITZKI and Heat G GORAN DRAGIC. The themes of each episode include innovation, legacy, toughness, evolution and opportunity. The five-part series began airing Monday on the NBA's Global and Canada Facebook pages (SPORTSNET.ca, 4/20).
