That's The Ticket: StubHub Ends Q1 With Big Gains In Revenue, Gross Sales

StubHub during its Q1 ended March 31 generated $210M in revenue, up 18% from the comparable period last year, according to earnings released late yesterday by corporate parent eBay. The company also posted $916M in gross sales, up 6%. The gains were fueled in part by the integration of last year’s acquisition of international online ticket marketplace Ticketbis, and the recent addition of the Angels and Blue Jays as official ticket resale partners. EBay President & CEO Devin Wenig also credited strong StubHub sales during the quarter for the CFP and Super Bowl LI. “While StubHub is facing tougher growth comps in a more challenging near-term event landscape relative to last year, our long-term outlook of high single to low double-digit [percentage] growth has not changed,” said eBay Senior VP & CFO Scott Schenkel.
