LifeBEAM Labs Introduces Voice-Activated AI Personal Trainer Named Vi

LifeBEAM Labs has launched the voice-activated AI personal trainer named Vi, which is built into biosensing earphones with sound powered by Harman Kardon and can adapt to one’s behavior, environment and physiology to deviled tailored, real-time coaching.

“Vi is not like anything people will have heard or seen before,” LifeBEAM CEO Omry Yoffe, CEO said in a statement. “She is a listening, talking trainer that is aware of a person’s surroundings, physiology and activities inside and outside of workout sessions. Our vision is to built the best AI companion for body and mind.”

Vi has been designed with a human voice and can converse with users, even asking if she is pronouncing their names correctly. She is triggered with voice commands such as “Vi how am I doing?,” responding with current statistics.

Vi tracks users’ cadence, heart rate, calories, speed, steps and distance. She also pulls data from a variety of sources to provide personalized coaching and feedback based on progress an goals.

The AI person trainer can also connect with third party apps such as Google Fit, Apple HealthKit and Strava in order to understand users’ behavior and health levels outside of Vi’s training sessions.

To use Vi, download the Vi companion app that connects with the Vi earphones through Bluetooth and BLE connectivity. It is available for both iOS and Android devices.

Vi is available for purchase at www.getvi.com and at the end of the month at Amazon.com and bestbuy.com for $249. Best Buy and additional retailers will have Vi on shelves this summer.
