Hello, My Name Is...: MLB Network Profiling Young Stars This Week With New Feature

MLB Network this week will air a newly created “Young Stars Week” in which it will feature each day an emerging young player in its studio programming that will also be on a game telecast on the network. Today’s featured player will be Red Sox LF Andrew Benintendi, playing today in the club’s Patriots Day game against the Rays being shown on the channel. MLB Network will showcase Blue Jays P Marcus Stroman tomorrow, Cubs CF Albert Almora Jr. on Wednesday, Braves SS Dansby Swanson on Thursday and Nationals SS Trea Turner on Friday. The studio programming will profile each player’s rise to the major leagues and individual skill sets. The initiative continues an ongoing effort by the league to market its top young players.

TNT’s Stan Van Gundy, ESPN’s Tim Reed, NBA Playoffs and NFL Draft

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with TNT’s Stan Van Gundy as he breaks down the NBA Playoffs from the booth. Later in the show, we hear from ESPN’s VP of Programming and Acquisitions Tim Reed as the NFL Draft gets set to kick off on Thursday night in Motown.
