G-Form Becomes Official Protection Partner For Boston Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox formed a three-year partnership with G-Form, which provides athletic impact protection. G-Form, which is based in Providence, R.I., is now the official protection partner for the Red Sox organization as it launches a new baseball line.

“G-Form provides the ultimate impact protection gear across multiple sport categories and the Red Sox will assist us in having a major influence in the game of baseball at all levels,” G-Form CEO Bob Burbank said in a statement. “The Red Sox are fully committed to keeping their players safe and in top condition and we couldn’t be more excited to be partners.”

G-Form protection became available to Red Sox players and trainers during spring training and are available to them throughout the season. The baseball products include the Pro Extended Elbow, Pro Wrist Guard, Pro Sliding Shorts, Pro Sternum Shirt, and Pro Sternum with Black.

The Reaction Protection Technology features soft padding in the products that hardens and stiffens when struck, providing greater impact absorption compared to traditional hard-shell guards. The company believes that G-Form is comfortable enough where players when reaching first base will no longer need to remove protection gear.

“We are excited to be working with G-Form and welcome them to the Red Sox family in 2017,” Red Sox Executive Vice President Troup Parkinson said in a statement. “Player safety is important to us and we are pleased to be partners with a cutting-edge local, New England company to help us with those efforts.”
