FunWall Partners With Phoenix International Raceway For Social Mobile Gaming

FunWall recently signed a letter of intent to partner with Phoenix International Raceway to bring its social mobile gaming platform to motorsports fans at the venue that is full integrated into the race day experience.

At present, FunWall offers two games, Hashtag Blitz and Gem Jump. However, according to CEO Steve Ridley, the FunWall API allows for a variety of games from the App Store.

Through FunWall’s geolocation feature (which utilizes Wi-Fi or cellular triangulation), fans will jump into games based on their location at Phoenix Raceway. Location-specific prizes and experiences will encourage engagement with sponsors, race franchises, race teams, concession stands, and vendors.

FunWall had its games at the Camping World 500 last month.

“Our intention is to have a racing game for the venue,” Ridley said. “Funwall is a game-agnostic platform, so we can utilize any game. There are no limits.”

In a statement, Ridley had explained that “FunWall makes the vital audience connection by combining fun and incentives into the same experience.”

More explicitly, this is a “fun way to bring people into an e-commerce platform,” Ridley said.

The activations come at a time when Phoenix Raceway will undergo a modernization project that is scheduled to be completed in November 2018.

“We are excited to offer even more to our fans as part of their race day experience through FunWall’s revolutionary technology,” Bryan R. Sperber, President of Phoenix Raceway, said in a statement. “This partnership combines the attraction of mobile gaming with the excitement of live motorsports entertainment creating a unique and engaging platform for our fans.”
