Titans Fire Nissan Stadium Concessions Vendor Aramark After Increased Complaints From Fans

The Titans have "fired Nissan Stadium's food, beverage and concessions vendor Aramark in a bitter feud that has spilled into court" after hearing "increasing complaints about painfully long lines to get a beer or hot dog, and food quality that ranks among the NFL's poorest," according to Joey Garrison of the Nashville TENNESSEAN. A Nashville judge last week "ruled on the side of the Titans" in a lawsuit filed March 31 against the Titans by Aramark. The Philadelphia-based concessionaire "alleged the Titans, which had issued a 30-day notice of termination to Aramark on March 1, breached a 10-year contract between the Titans and Aramark by parting ways before the terms of the agreement ended" in '24. Aramark "sought a temporary injunction to remain the sole concessionaire at Nissan Stadium." Aramark's final day at Nissan Stadium is April 13. It is "unclear when the Titans will hire a new concessionaire." Legal proceedings will "continue to settle other items including the financial terms of the termination." The Titans hired Aramark in '14 to "replace Centerplate." In short time, Aramark "faced regular complaints from fans on the quality of the food, food options, inefficiency of concession stands, and long lines to purchase refreshments" (Nashville TENNESSEAN, 4/8). Sources said that Delaware North Sportservice, Legends and Levy Restaurants are competing to replace Aramark at Nissan Stadium. Sportservice runs the food at Bridgestone Arena, home of the Predators (Don Muret, Staff Writer).
