Blue Star Sports and USA Football announced on Tuesday a five-year exclusive partnership which will see the youth sports systems integration and technology company change the way a governing body communicates with its member organizations.

Frisco, Texas-based Blue Star Sports, which is led by Founder and Chief Executive Officer Rob Wechsler, is now USA Football’s Official Club, League, Team Technology Partner and will help build an integrated football technology platform that combines web and mobile.

Within the platform, there will be a number of products including roster management, online registration, scheduling and a national membership data center, among other features. After the first phase of development, both organizations will look to build a global community that will encompass statistics, video content, player profiles and other information around youth football.

“After evaluating leading youth sports software companies, we felt it was important to partner with Blue Star Sports to utilize their strengths to provide cutting-edge services for the youth football community,” USA Football Chief Executive Officer Scott Hallenbeck said in a statement. “We’re excited about our partnership with Blue Star Sports who is committed to helping us provide an innovative product set with systems integration to meet the technological and organizational needs of youth leagues around the country.”

Added Wechsler in a statement: “USAF is an ideal strategic partner because of the vision of USAF’s leadership team and the complexity of their members wants and needs. We started Blue Star Sports to address the need to create a much easier and more comprehensive solution to associations, leagues, teams, coaches and parents. The USAF operating environment will provide a great opportunity for our team to showcase our commitment to youth football.”

Wechsler also recently partnered with the Dallas Cowboys last Fall as the two parties launched the Blue Star Accelerator program, which will live on the football teams new campus called The Star. Startup companies at the intersection of sports, entertainment and technology will have an opportunity to leverage the resources of both organizations as they participate in the new accelerator and investment venture.
