Nationals Unveil Field-Level Luxury Seating Section, New Concession Items For '17

The Nationals yesterday "provided a few details about the MGM National Harbor Dugout Club," the new field-level seating section at Nationals Park "constructed beyond the dugout on the first-base side," according to Allen & Steinberg of the WASHINGTON POST. The section, which "occupies the space where the tarp used to be stored during games, features eight luxury seats, televisions, a personal attendant, private restrooms and a dedicated entrance adjacent to the First Base Gates." The Nationals are "working with MGM on an all-inclusive menu inspired by the fare available at MGM National Harbor." MGM "purchased and will control access to the seats, which will not be available to the general public at the box office or on Nationals.com." Nationals CRO & CMO Valerie Camillo said that protective netting will be "added in front of the section before Opening Day" (WASHINGTON POST, 3/29). In DC, Scott Allen reports the "biggest changes" coming to Nationals Park for the '17 season include a "tater tot and chicken wing stand, an ice cream sandwich and cookie push-pop cart and improved WiFi." The Nationals yesterday also "showed off new signage adjacent to the center field scoreboard, a new Devils Backbone-themed bar near Section 301 and premium field-level seats beyond the first-base dugout." The Nationals also "unveiled their renovated team store in the Center Field Plaza" (WASHINGTON POST, 3/29).
