USA Volleyball Renews Partnership With VERT, Will Use New G-VERT Performance Tracker

USA Volleyball has renewed its partnership with wearable technology company VERT. In the new deal, VERT – which in the past helped USA Volleyball men’s and women’s teams monitor workload to prevent injuries – the teams will be able to take advantage of the company’s latest performance tracker.

The G-VERT Team System, which is worn on the waist, measures power, G-force, jump analytics and kinetic energy. VERT’s main focus is on high intensity trackers that provide athletes with insight into how they are expelling energy.

“With the development and release of the new G-VERT Team System, great levels of biomechanical data will be available to aid improvement in athletic performance,” Kerry Klostermann, the USA Volleyball Secretary General, said in a statement. “This partnership has been a win-win over the last three years and we can’t be more excited to continue the relationship.”

VERT products have also been used in the Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship, and Auburn’s men’s basketball team uses G-VERT. In the collegiate volleyball games, viewers had the option of viewing the numbers the VERT was tracking through a VERTcast on ESPN. On the professional level, the Miami Heat has used the G-VERT product.
