The SportTechie Podcast with Bram Weinstein: Jessica Gelman, CEO, Kraft Analytics Group

Sloan Sports Analytics Conference

On this week’s SportTechie Podcast with Bram Weinstein, we welcome Kraft Analytics Group CEO Jessica Gelman to the show. Gelman heads up KAGR, which provides data analytics, data management, and marketing strategy to the sports-entertainment industry. This new arm of Kraft Sports Group (KSG) came from the business intelligence that Gelman helped build with the Patriots. After requests for guidance and advice from similar organizations, KSG decided to turn KAGR into a stand-alone company.

Gelman is also a co-founder and Co-Chair of the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference that took place last week.

Also in the episode, Bram takes a look at YouTube’s game-changing streaming options and the use of VR to help Japanese batters get ready for pitchers they’ve never faced.
