Athletes have been sporting Snapchat Spectacles to show fans the world through their own eyes since the technology hit the market. Up until last week, Snapchat Spectacles were only available to specific people and influencers and could be purchased in select locations. Now, anyone can purchase a pair for $129.99.

Last week, Rutgers University head football coach Chris Ash got his hands on a pair. Ash attended the Rutgers men’s basketball game against Michigan and wore Spectacles while throwing T-shirts to throngs of screaming fans waving their arms.

Rutgers Athletics seemed to be a fan of the Spectacles because shortly after Ash hyped up the crowd with them on, Rutgers alum and current New England Patriots defensive back Devin McCourty put on the Spectacles and recorded throwing more shirts to the crowd.

Ash and McCourty weren’t the only ones at Rutgers to use the Spectacles. The DJ at the Rutgers Athletic Center captured his turntables using them, cheerleaders were recorded using the Spectacles, someone in the student section captured the celebratory aftermath of a monstrous Deshawn Freeman dunk with the glasses. ESPN business reporter Darren Rovell even got to try them on.
