In March, baseball fans in Scottsdale, Ariz. at Salt Rivers Field at Talking Stick during spring training will have the opportunity to pay a visit to We Are Baseball, a collaboration of baseball and technology that takes them through the game’s past, present and future. We Are Baseball features virtual reality, an original IMAX movie and specially curated artifacts from The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.

The featured virtual reality will give fans the experiences of being next to the game’s biggest stars, on the field, in the dugout and in the clubhouse.

With all of the content being filmed by MLB Advanced Media in partnership with Jaunt during the 2016 Postseason, the VR experience will feature behind-the-scenes access and moments from the first clinch all the way through the final out of the World Series and the Chicago Cubs championship parade.

In addition to the narrative-based VR experience, fans at We Are Baseball will also be among the first to play MLBAM’s newest mobile game – Home Run Derby VR. This game allows fans to compete in the Home Run Derby using VR technology with 3D environment featuring eight ballparks.

The IMAX film will immerse fans into the past, present and future of baseball with never-before-seen content and historical footage.

Some of the technology that will be featured at We Are Baseball includes: “History Selfie,” where fans can put themselves into some of baseball’s most iconic moments and share the selfies via social media, “Hall of Fame Plaques in HD,” where fans can scroll through an interactive experience of the Hall of Fame plaques for every Cooperstown inductee, and “Personal Plaques,” where fans using touchscreen technology can take their own photos, create personal Hall of Fame replica plaques while crafting their own Hall of Fame stories.

Tickets for We Are Baseball are on sale on HallofFameTour.com and are $17 for adults and $5 for children (ages 5-17).  We Are Baseball and the Hall of Fame Tour will be open everyday at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick from March 11-26.
