The Falcons' shocking Super Bowl loss has not crippled their ticket sales for the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium. From the conclusion of the game through the close of business Monday, the Falcons received 560 unique inbound requests for PSLs and tickets at the venue. That is the highest number of inbound requests the day following a game all season, including the team's two playoff wins. In the same period, 256 PSL sales were completed online, the highest single-day online sales total since sales began. From the close of business Monday through the close of business yesterday, the Falcons sold 347 seats, including a number in premium categories, resulting in one of the three highest sales days since the regular season ended Jan. 1. In total, available PSLs at the new stadium are 76% sold and suite inventory is at 90% sold (THE DAILY).
FLAT SURFACE: In Buffalo, Jay Skurski reported the Bills are "holding the line on season-ticket prices" in '17. The team in an email sent to season-ticket holders Monday indicated that there "would be no price hike" from '16. A Bills spokesperson last year said that the average price of a regular seat for a Bills game in '16 was $68.18, which "ranked in the bottom five of the NFL" (BUFFALO NEWS, 2/7).
TEX MAX: In Houston, Matt Young reported Texans' ticket prices will go up by 6.55% next season, raising the average ticket cost from $97.32 in '16 to $103.69 in '17. The "cheapest Texans seats -- upper deck in the end zone -- will rise from $47.50 to $50.50." The "most expensive seats are going up from $164 to $175." The team has "sold out 154 consecutive games at NRG Stadium" (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 2/4).
