Foresight Sports Unveils GCQuad Launch Monitor For Golf Shot Analytics

Foresight Sports unveiled the GCQuad Launch Monitor at the PGA Merchandise Show at the Orange County National Golf Center in Orlando last week. The indoor/outdoor device utilizes four high-resolution cameras to capture real-time ball and club performance data, which is transmitted to a sleek display screen or other devices via WiFi, Ethernet or USB. The “quadrascopic” cameras use integrated infrared technology to provide shot parameters, including speed, club path, face to path, and loft among others.

Foresight Sports President Scott Werbelow explained how the company expanded on the GC2 Smart Camera System to meet the demands of golfers.

“The GC2 was nothing short of a revolution when we released it in 2010, but we knew there was room for improvement,” he said in a statement. “With the GCQuad, we listened to our customers suggestions, and the result is a product that fuses our best ideas with theirs.”

With a ball capture area six times larger than that of its predecessor and a shock-mounted diecast aluminum frame, the GCQuad offers increased versatility and durability. Weighing only seven pounds and running on a long-life lithium-ion battery, the GCQuad was designed with portability in mind.

Werbelow is confident that the GCQuad will help professional and amateur golfers alike improve their strokes. “From the outdoor range to the indoor golf simulator, the GCQuad is a game changer,” he said.”
