Stephen Curry Leads Active Players In NBA Jersey Sales In China, Trails Kobe Overall

Warriors G Stephen Curry had the "second-best-selling jersey in China" during the '15-16 NBA season, trailing former NBAer Kobe Bryant "during his retirement tour," according to Michael Yuan of ESPN.com. Michael Jordan "rounded out the top three," with the numbers suggesting NBA greats "still carry significant weight in China." The numbers were "derived by sales" from September '15 to October '16, based on data from NBAStore.cn and other online flagship stores in the country (ESPN.com, 1/29). In S.F., Connor Letourneau wrote for Curry, this comes four days after he "checked in at No. 1 in the latest release of NBA jersey sales" in the U.S. (SFGATE.com, 1/28). ESPN.com's Yuan wrote under the header, "How The NBA Is Embracing A Full Chinese New Year Celebration" (ESPN.com, 1/29).
