Chips & Putts: Matt Kuchar, Brooke Henderson Starring In New Skechers GO GOLF Spots

Skechers is debuting a series of GO GOLF commercial spots throughout '17 featuring Matt Kuchar, Billy Andrade, Wesley Bryan, Russell Knox, Ashlan Ramsey, Belén Mozo and Brooke Henderson. In the spots viewers will hear what Kuchar really thinks about while gearing up for his final putt at a major. They will also see a playful argument between Mozo and Henderson. Additionally, Bryan will make his Skechers Go Golf commercial debut, as will Knox, as he tests out the new Go Golf Focus in less than favorable wind conditions (Skechers).

GRASS IS GREENER: The PGA of America has signed a five-year sponsorship deal with John Deere that makes the company the official golf course turf equipment provider of the organization. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Deere gets sponsorship and hospitality rights to the PGA Championship, the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship and the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. Deere also will offer turf equipment programs to PGA-owned facilities and championship sites over the length of the deal (John Lombardo, Staff Writer).

STARTING A NEW CHAPTER: Michelle Wie yesterday signed a deal to play Callaway clubs, and GOLFWEEK's Beth Ann Nichols wrote it is a "new era" for her, who for the "first time in her professional career has something other than a Nike Swoosh on her bag." Wie will continue to "wear Nike apparel" (GOLFWEEK.com, 1/24).

NOTES: Canadian golf retailer Golf Town signed a three-year endorsement deal with the LPGA's Henderson. The agreement includes intellectual property rights, Golf Town branding on Henderson's touring bag, in-store appearances as well as digital and social media content (Golf Town)....Golf hat company Imperial Headwear signed a multiyear sponsorship with Beau Hossler. Hossler will make his professional debut on the PGA Tour this week in the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines (Imperial).
