CFP Exec Dir BILL HANCOCK has been "given a three-year contract extension" through June '20. The CFP Board of Managers yesterday announced the move, citing Hancock's "oversight of the popular event" (AP, 1/11)....World Surf League CEO PAUL SPEAKER will step down from his position at the end of January. Speaker will continue to be a co-Owner of the league and fellow co-Owner DIRK ZIFF will serve as interim CEO until a new exec is found for the role (WSL)....WME-IMG promoted Senior VP/Global Business Development ADAM KELLY to the newly created position of Senior VP/Worldwide Sales. Kelly will continue to report to WME-IMG co-President IORIS FRANCINI. Kelly previously led EMEA sales and worldwide business development (WME-IMG). Kelly "played a major role" in WME-IMG's joint venture with EuroLeague basketball, and was also involved with the agency's consultancy with the IOC, the recent purchase of the UFC and the "expansion of global broadcast rights," including WME-IMG's own action sports channel, EDGEsport (DEADLINE.com, 1/11)....The T'Wolves named NBA Senior Manager of Game Analytics & Strategy DWIGHT LUTZ and Darden Restaurants Associate Data Scientist/Advanced Analytics NICK RESTIFO Basketball Operations Analysts (TWINCITIES.com, 1/10)....The Marlins promoted Dir of Sales & Service RYAN BERTSCHMAN to VP/Sales & Service (THE DAILY)....GameChanger MVP Productions named Padres Senior Dir of Content & Production MATT COY VP & GM (THE DAILY)....The AHL Chicago Wolves promoted ANTHONY KRZYZAK and MIKE CZOPEK to Sales Development Managers (THE DAILY)....Lammi Sports Management named KYLE EMINA Account Manager (Lammi).
