Octagon Hires Former Lagardère Sports VP Tim McNulty To Help Grow Golf Business

Octagon has hired veteran golf agent and sports marketing exec Tim McNulty to help grow its golf business. McNulty most recently worked at Lagardère Sports, where he was a VP and left at the end of '15. McNulty has also worked at Nike, where he was a sports marketing exec at Nike Golf. He started his career at the former Gaylord Sports Management, where he formerly repped golfers Grace Park and Rich Beem. "This is really about the future of golf and the future of Octagon's investment in golf," McNulty said in a telephone interview yesterday. McNulty is based out of Scottsdale, Ariz., and will focus on recruiting new golfer clients, both nationally and internationally. He started the new job on Tuesday and will report to Octagon Managing Dir of Golf David Yates. McNulty has a long history of working with Yates, who joined Octagon in '13 from Lagardère Sports. Yates said of McNulty, “He has an exceptional eye for emerging talent and operates with unquestioned character and integrity. I know that Tim shares our strategic and thoughtful approach to recruiting, developing and managing golf’s best talent.”
