DTS Headphone:X Audio Technology Gives Fans Way To Hear What Motorsport Athletes Hear

Listen.

Can you hear the vroom of the motorbike ripping across the open road?

Chances are, unless you’re on the bike, you can’t. But that’s half the fun of motorsports: hearing the roar of the engine and the squeal of the tires leaving rubber on the road. DTS Headphone:X immersive audio technology is giving viewers a way to hear what the riders hear.

“Watching anything motorsports without good sound is like watching a foreign movie without subtitles,” Red Bull stunt rider Aaron Colton wrote. “You may be able to piece the story together, but it still won’t add up. I watch so many motorsports videos where sound is nothing more than an afterthought. That’s just not okay.”

He continued: “The minute clicks and buzzes of a motorcycle are aspects of the sport typically reserved for those on the machine. But through the state-of-the art DTS Headphone:X immersive audio technology, the sound of sport can be realized with any pair of headphones.”

DTS Headphone:X technology simulates the 3D sound through any set of headphones or earbuds and from any device. It brings users “intensely realistic” sound that makes users feel like they’re right in the middle of the motor sport they’re watching.

It’s related to DTS:X technology which stimulates 3D sound at home and in theaters.
