Longtime Wincraft COO JOHN KILLEN is being elevated to CEO, effective with the new year. Wincraft Founder DICK POPE is Exec Chair of the Minnesota-bsaed licensed products company. Killen has worked at Wincraft for more than 30 years, helping it grow into one of the largest hard-goods products licensees. "I hired John out of colllege and he's been a steady hand and provided great leadership as we've grown," said Pope, who still owns most of Wincraft (Terry Lefton, Editor-at-Large).

EXECS: The Japanese Pacific League Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters named former Padres Senior Adviser for Baseball Operations RANDY SMITH Senior Adviser to the GM & MLB Scouting Dir. Smith served as Padres GM from '93-95 and Tigers GM from '96-'02.
