Buyers & Sellers: Kane, Williams Have Priciest Houses On Market In Western New York

Blackhawks RW PATRICK KANE is "selling his Hamburg mansion" in western New York for $3.2M. The 5,878-square-foot lakeside home is "believed to be the most expensive home" on the market in the region, passing Dolphins DE MARIO WILLIAMS' $3M home that is for sale. Kane's house include a "giant patio, basketball court, in-ground pool, boat launch and boat house." Inside there is a "sauna, steam room and home theater." The home went on the market on Oct. 24 (BUFFALONEWS.com, 12/22). Williams' 13,182-square-foot mansion, located in Aurora, N.Y., was built in '05 and "sits on 5.1 acres." There are five bedrooms, five full bathrooms and 4.5 half-baths (BIZJOURNALS.com, 12/21).

HOUSE HUNTERS: Palace Sports & Entertainment Vice Chair ARN TELLEM bought a new Flatiron District (N.Y.) condo with four bedroom's for $7.3M. The 4,745-square-foot apartment is "on the 17th floor of the 24-story building" (THEREALDEAL.com, 12/18)....USF football coach CHARLIE STRONG has put his Barton Creek mansion in Austin. The five-bedroom, 7.5-bath Mediterranean-style estate is "privately listed" for $4.995M. The 10,896-square-foot house was built in '04 (BIZJOURNALS.com, 12/14).

HOME PLATES: Former MLBer ERIC CHAVEZ "sold his home in Paradise Valley, Ariz.," for $4.75M. The estate was built in '04 and has a "baseball diamond, a football field, a fenced batting cage and a ring for horseback riding." It has a resort-style swimming pool featuring a "raised spa and a blue-tiled waterslide." Inside, there is "nearly 14,500 square feet of living space" that includes four stone fireplaces. The garage can "accommodate as many as six cars, and a large circular motor court sits just inside the front gates" (LATIMES.com, 12/18)....Former MLBer JOHNNY DAMON sold his lakefront estate in Windermere, Fla., on Dec. 15 for $1.7M -- "well below the original" March '15 $2.35M list price. The European-inspired residence "features a stretch of private frontage on Lake Butler." The 5,066-square-foot main house, built in '03, has "four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms" (GROWTHSPOTTER.com, 12/20).
