Coca-Cola Has Pouring Rights With CFP Games, But Pepsi At More Bowl Venues

Coca-Cola will have pouring rights at both CFP semifinal games and the national championship game, but Pepsi for the third straight bowl season boasts a slightly larger stadium profile than its soft drink rival. This season marks the first time in the CFP's brief three-year history that one soda brand has pouring rights at the three CFP venues (Georgia Dome, Univ. of Phoenix Stadium and Raymond James Stadium). Coke also has contracts at all three of next year's playoff venues -- the Rose Bowl, Mercedes-Benz Superdome and soon-to-be-opened Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Pepsi has pouring exclusivity at 20 bowl games during the '16-17 season and shares AT&T Stadium with Dr Pepper Snapple Group. Coke has 18 such deals. Cotton Bowl Stadium does not have an exclusive soda deal and pours Coke, Pepsi and Dr Pepper products.

THE MAJOR PLAYERS: There also are 392 brands this season designated as an official sponsor by at least one of the the 38 organizations that run the 41 bowls. Below are the brands that sponsor the most bowl games this season.
