SI has hired KEVIN DRISCOLL as its Social Media Dir. Driscoll formerly was Deputy Social Media Editor for the Daily Mail, and before that was a Team Stream editor for Bleacher Report. Driscoll will manage the strategy, development and programming of SI’s social media channels, and will report to SI Group Digital Editor MARK MCCLUSKY. He will begin the new role in January. Meanwhile, former Bleacher Report GM DORTH RAPHAELY has joined S.F.-based entertainment fan site Fandom in the newly created role of Senior VP/Content. Raphaely was the lead day-to-day exec for Bleacher Report from ’14 until early this year with the return of co-Founder DAVE FINOCCHIO as CEO and promotion of RORY BROWN to President (Eric Fisher, Staff Writer).

EXECS: Southern Miss AD BILL MCGILLIS has resigned to become the AD at the Univ. of San Diego. His last day at the school will be Jan. 17. Southern Miss Dir of Sports Performance ZAC WOODFIN will fill the position on an interim basis. University President RODNEY BENNETT said that Woodfin "will not be considered for the job permanently" and that he will "enlist the services of a national search firm" to find McGillis' replacement (HATTIESBURG AMERICAN, 12/20)....The NCAA named Texas Tech Senior Associate AD/Academics, Student Services & Sports Administration FELICIA MARTIN VP of its Eligibility Center (NCAA)....The Royals named AUSTIN DRIGGERS Sports Science Coordinator (K.C. STAR, 12/20)....The Collegiate Sports Management Group added former WNBA President DONNA ORENDER to its Board of Advisors (CSMG).
