Leonard Fournette Signs With Roc Nation Sports For Representation Ahead Of NFL Draft

LSU RB Leonard Fournette signed with Roc Nation Sports for representation yesterday, officially giving up his "amateurism by inking with the agency" and meaning he "cannot travel with the team" to the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl on Dec. 31, according to Ross Dellenger of the Baton Rouge ADVOCATE. Fournette is "expected to be a top 10 pick" in the '17 NFL Draft and joins a stable of Roc Nation Sports athletes that includes Mariners 2B Robinson Cano, Yankees P CC Sabathia, Giants WR Victor Cruz and Jets QB Geno Smith. Fournette announced last week he would not play in the Citrus Bowl "because of a lingering left ankle injury," but had "planned to travel with LSU to the bowl game." Stanford RB Christian McCaffrey yesterday also announced he would not play in the Hyundai Sun Bowl to begin preparing for the Draft, and NFL.com's Bucky Brooks said that those two decisions "could spark similar movements from highly ranked draft-eligible juniors and seniors" (Baton Rouge ADVOCATE, 12/20).

KIZER ALSO SIGNS: Notre Dame QB DeShone Kizer has signed with Athletes First's Brian Murphy & Kyle McCarthy for representation in NFL Draft. Kizer is projected as a first-round pick (Liz Mullen, Staff Writer).
