Social Data Shows Chevy Should Be Able To Connect Well With Fans Of CFP Schools

Chevrolet should "take advantage of the upcoming college football semifinals, since fans from all four schools show a high degree of interest in those brands," according to data provided exclusively to THE DAILY by data science and media technology firm 4C. College football fans who engage with Chevy via mentions, retweets, comments and/or post likes on a school, athlete or Chevy truck-related Facebook page or Twitter handle are far more likely to similarly connect with Washington than they are with other brands. Alabama fans are 3.5 times more likely to make such a connection, while UW fans are almost six times more likely. Bridgestone also fared well in 4C's Affinity Index, which measures the number of people who engaged with both the event and the brand, compared to the average of all the brands that received exposure during the event's coverage. Here is a look at the highest ranking brands among the college football teams that will be playing on New Year's Eve.
