NFL Franchise Notes: Bills Front Office Draws Blame For Team's Lack Of Success

In Buffalo, Bucky Gleason writes Bills coach Rex Ryan "deserves his share of the blame" as does GM Doug Whaley and President Russ Brandon for the team's struggles at 6-7. Bills Owners the Pegulas "don't know where they're going or how to get there." They are left to "depend on Whaley and Brandon, which hasn't exactly worked." Bills co-Owner Kim Pegula has "suggested she would rather work with people she likes on a personal level." That approach "might work in the real world, but it's different in sports" (BUFFALO NEWS, 12/15).

PAIN RELIEVERS: In L.A., Vincent Bonsignore writes whether former Rams coach Jeff Fisher was "relieved from the Rams or the Rams from Fisher is up for debate." The Rams were "losing long before he showed up on the scene and as sad as it might seem considering the mediocrity he kept serving up, it still represented a high water mark from the nonsense that proceeded him." The product was "getting worse," and the fans were "growing restless and angry" (L.A. DAILY NEWS, 12/15).
