Relevent Sports Signs Multiyear Deal With Visit Orlando To Bring Soccer Tourney To City

Relevent Sports has signed a multiyear partnership with tourism marketing association Visit Orlando that will bring one Int’l Champions Cup soccer match to Camping World Stadium in both '17 and '18. The partnership will also see the firm become the exclusive U.S. tourism partner of the tournament. This is the first time the ICC has partnered with a tourism organization and guaranteed a game in that city. Relevent Sports Chair Charlie Stillitano said the ICC could look to do additional deals like this in the future, which he said will drive additional attendance. Terms were not disclosed (Ian Thomas, Staff Writer). Visit Orlando President & CEO George Aguel said, "For us, it's definitely a sell-out opportunity for Camping World Stadium." Aguel said that the "original opportunity did not include game play in Central Florida." He added that Visit Orlando "had to pay for the sponsorship spot," but he "wouldn't say how much" (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 12/14).
