Media Notes

Liberty Media CFO Mark Carleton said there are "no triggers" for the the Braves to get out of their below-market-value local-TV deal early. He added the Braves have "some accelerators and a couple of contractual provisions a few years out" that will affect about 50 games. However, he said, "In general we have a contract until 2027 [with Fox Sports]" (AJC.com, 12/8).

FEELING GOOD: In Houston, David Barron notes Mack Brown "expects to be back at ESPN next season even though he won't rule out a return to coaching." Brown: "I feel established in TV, and ESPN and ABC are treating me well. I couldn't ask for anything better. ... Life is good right now, and it would take something special in a place Sally (his wife) and I would want to live before we would consider coaching again" (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 12/9).

LIGHTS, CAMERAS, ACTION: The crew from “Road to the Outdoor Classics,” a weekly documentary series on Epix that will build up to the Blackhawks-Blues Winter Classic on Jan. 2 at Busch Stadium, "officially embedded themselves" with the Blues on Wednesday. The behind-the-scenes footage "began with the Blues’ trip from St. Louis to New York for Thursday’s game against the Islanders" (ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH, 12/9).
