The Bucks have named The Legacy Agency Exec VP/Media, New Business & Events MIKE MCCARTHY COO. Over the past year, McCarthy advised the Bucks on various media strategies. McCarthy is also the former CEO of the Blues and worked in various positions for MSG Networks from '82-'05 when he left as president. He will report to Bucks President PETER FEIGIN. He started his new job Monday. No agency was involved in the hire, which is a new position within the team’s front office (John Lombardo, Staff Writer).

EXECS: SMI promoted VP/Partnership Development GREG WALTER to Exec VP of Charlotte Motor Speedway (SMI)....Roush Fenway Racing GM ROBBIE REISER on Tuesday was "relieved of his duties." He had been with the company "for 17 seasons, first as a crew chief and eventually graduating to a managerial role" (MOTORSPORT.com, 11/22)....The MLB Rangers promoted JOSH BOYD, MIKE DALY and JAYCE TINGLER to Assistant GMs. All have "been with the team more than a decade." Boyd will oversee professional scouting and Pacific Rim operations; Daly will be responsible for Major League operations and international scouting; and Tingler will be in charge of player development (AP, 11/21)....Univ. of Louisiana-Lafayette AD SCOTT FARMER on Tuesday resigned, and Deputy AD JESSICA LEGER has been named interim AD. Farmer will "become a full-time faculty member for UL's School of Kinesiology." Farmer had been AD since '11 (Lafayette DAILY ADVERTISER, 11/23)....The Univ. of Georgia named Univ. of Louisiana-Monroe Deputy AD JOSH BROOKS Exec AD (Monroe NEWS-STAR, 11/23)....The CIAA named Davidson College Athletic Fund Associate Dir SUZETTE MCQUEEN Senior Associate Commissioner of External Operations & Strategic Marketing (CIAA)....The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber named Reds COO PHIL CASTELLINI Chair (CINCINNATI ENQUIRER, 11/19).
