How 'Bout Them Cowboys! Rookies Elliott, Prescott At Top Of Jersey Sales List

Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott has the top jersey "in sales from April 1 to Oct. 31," according to league officials cited by Darren Rovell of ESPN.com. Teammate and fellow rookie QB Dak Prescott ranks fifth during the time period "after having a strong October, selling more jerseys than any other player in the league except Elliott." The rest of the top 5 is comprised of Eagles QB Carson Wentz, Patriots QB Tom Brady and Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. Cowboys Senior VP/PR & Communications Rich Dalrymple said that Cowboys jerseys "have been so popular that through the first six weeks, the team had already eclipsed its jersey sales" from the entire '15 season. Rovell noted the Cowboys over the past seven months "have had four players among the top 15" in jersey sales: Elliott, Prescott, WR Dez Bryant (No. 11) and TE Jason Witten (No. 14) (ESPN.com, 11/7). THE MMQB's Dominic Bonvissuto notes Cowboys merchandise is "filling up online shopping carts and flying off shelves." They were the "top-selling NFL team in October" on Fanatics after ranking fourth in October '15. The Cowboys also "lead all teams in sales" for New Era Cap in '16. New Era Senior Marketing Manager Ryan DiNunzio: “The Cowboys star is an iconic logo and their brand is globally recognized. That combined with their success this season has put them back in the No. 1 spot" (MMQB.SI.com, 11/11).
