FOX Sports is taking advantage of Facebook Live streaming capabilities once again, recently debuting two new shows dubbed, Off Track and The Rec League, across the video platform.
Off Track is a weekly program hosted by NASCAR Race Hub’s, Danielle Trotta and Kaitlyn Vincie that dives into intricate details of’ NASCAR driver’s experiences, families and other personalities.
We have all seen the shows that check under the hood, but what about the drivers themselves? Off Track will take viewers on a journey into a driver’s life.
“It’s a show where we put down the numbers and X’s & O’s and instead get to know these folks away from the racetrack,” Trotta said in a statement. “It’s going to be a ton of fun getting to know these drivers, team members, wives and girlfriends like never before.”
The show’s location will bounce around from the FOX NASCAR Charlotte studios, venturing to the motorhomes, shopping malls, grocery stories of the drivers, whereever they may be.
Viewers have the ability to ask questions to the show’s guests and hosts in real-time, receiving feedback in seconds.
The show first premiered Oct. 18 and featured FOX analyst and four-time champion Jeff Gordon.
FOX is also venturing into the world of soccer with The Rec League.
The weekly show is hosted by former U.S. Men’s National Team player, Stuart Holden and FOX Sports’ Rachel Bonnetta. In order to bring the game of soccer to the forefront, the show will feature player interviews, highlights, soccer news and skits.
“We are excited to partner with Facebook and bring our loyal FOX Soccer audience a new digital show that delivers a fresh perspective,” FOX Sports vice president of digital productions Matt Schnider said in a statement. “Bonnetta and Holden are a dynamic and entertaining pair, and we look forward to ‘The Rec League’ becoming a go-to destination for soccer fans.”
Their first show was released on Oct. 17 and featured the nitty-gritty details of U.S. Soccer, a preview of Major League Soccer Decision Day, and an interview with Carli Lloyd as she discussed Hope Solo.
FOX Sports hopes the shows catch fire on Facebook Live’s platform, an avenue that many organizations are beginning to take advantage of.
