Wearable Technology Company Zepp Brings Its Sensor To The Links

(Courtesy of Zepp)

Zepp recently upped the ante with its new training product for golf.

The digital sports training device and sensor company is now helping golfers measure performance on the links, making it the first company to integrate its wearable during actual rounds. It was recently “permitted under the rules of golf” by the United States Golf Association (USGA).

A player can simply attach the Zepp 2 sensor to a glove and hit the course without having to open an app or monitor a smartphone.

Following the round, players sync their sensors with the “Course Mode” setting, analyze their swings and see where there are opportunities to improve. An overall score is given to each player, so players can compare their swings round-to-round over a set period of time.

Additionally, “Course Mode” tracks club plane, hand plane, tempo and backswing, giving players deeper insight into the consistency of their swings.
