Buyers & Sellers: Tom Gores Purchases $100M L.A. Mansion With 5,300-Square-Foot Bedroom

Pistons Owner TOM GORES purchased a new mansion in the Holmby Hills neighborhood of L.A. for $100M. The mansion includes a 4,700-square-foot basketball court and a 5,300-square-foot "master bedroom suite." The 30,000-square-foot mansion sits on two acres and includes "10 bedrooms, 20 bathrooms, 10-car garage, pools, indoor waterfall, beauty parlor, nail salon, wine and massage rooms, hiking trail, sports courts" and a movie theater (CRAINSDETROIT.com, 10/27).

: Capitals and Wizards Owner TED LEONSIS and his wife LYNN have sold their Nantucket mansion for $8.5M. The "three-level, five-bedroom home" is located in the Shawkemo area. The 4,768-square-foot property was completed in '12 and Leonsis "bought it later that year" for $6.7M. Features of the home include "'commanding' water views, a pool and landscaped grounds" and a "first-floor bar with wine cooler" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 10/20)....Clippers G AUSTIN RIVERS has purchased a home in the Pacific Palisades area of L.A. for $6.1M. The 7,400-square-foot home has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms and features "pocketing glass walls, a rooftop deck and balconies centered on city to ocean views." A "lower-level lounge is outfitted with an office, a purple-clad home theater and a great room with a glass-enclosed wine wall" (LATIMES.com, 10/26)....Warriors G STEPHEN CURRY has placed his Walnut Creek, Calif., home for $3.7M, which is $500,000 more than what he paid for the property last year. Curry, who "decamped to another part of the Bay Area earlier this year," has "made considerable improvements to the Mediterranean-style home." The 7,500-square-foot property includes a "grand foyer, a great room with a fireplace, a library, five bedrooms and five bathrooms." Designed for entertaining, a "lower-level lounge holds a family and billiards room, a wet bar and a 2,000-bottle wine cellar" (LATIMES.com, 10/25).
