In Cleveland, Joey Morona noted Cavaliers F Kevin Love is "featured in another ad campaign for Banana Republic." The new pictures, "coming to a mall, online ad or billboard near you next week, show off pieces from the retailer's holiday collection" (CLEVELAND.com, 10/27). 

KING OF BEVERAGES: In Dallas, Karen Robinson-Jacobs notes during Q4 Dr Pepper Snapple Group reported sales of $1.68B, up 3% from a year ago. The company has "increased spending, including college-football themed promotions that center on brand pitchman Larry Culpepper." The character, who "hawks Dr Pepper at college football games," has his own Halloween costume this year which "quickly sold out" (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 10/28).

GREAT WHITE: Greg Norman appeared on Bloomberg TV to discuss his rebrand of Great White Shark Enterprises, which will be renamed The Greg Norman Company. Norman said when he founded the company in the '90s it was "all sports marketing based" and he was still active playing golf, along with being the No. 1 player in the world. He said, "I could move the needle." The company then "evolved" into apparel but "I had to get away from the sports marketing side because I wasn't going to be playing professional golf forever so I had to transition away and that's not such an easy transition ... but my platform is very, very solid" (Bloomberg TV, 10/25).
