National Funding Re-Ups For Second Year Of Holiday Bowl Title Sponsorship

San Diego-based small-business lender National Funding will "return for the second straight year as the title sponsor for the Holiday Bowl," according to Kirk Kenney of the SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE. Financial terms of the one-year deal were not disclosed. National Funding "stepped in at the 11th hour last year when the Holiday Bowl was without a title sponsor, putting its name above the marquee just two weeks before kickoff." National Funding CEO Dave Gilbert said, "We loved it last year. It was great exposure for our company, both in the community and to our customers throughout the country. So we decided to support the bowl game again.” He said that National Funding also "does sponsorships with the Padres and Chargers." The Holiday Bowl had been "seeking a multiyear agreement with a national company before extending its relationship with National Funding" (SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE, 10/28).
