Crosby, MacKinnon Reunite In Delivery Truck For Another Set Of Tim Hortons Ads

Penguins C Sidney Crosby and Avalanche C Nathan MacKinnon in August filmed a series of commercials for Tim Hortons, which involves the two riding around in a "red Tim Hortons truck," according to Terry Frei of the DENVER POST. The commercials in the "Tims Run" series were "packaged as three 'stops.'" The first, called "Loading Up," involves the duo "picking up the huge order in the truck." The second, called "Game On," shows Crosby and MacKinnon "visiting a kids’ street hockey game." The third, called "Fire Drill," features the players' "visit to a firehouse." MacKinnon said the shoot "took about five hours," adding, "It was awesome." The commercials were shot "shortly before" the players "reported to their respective World Cup of Hockey team training camps" (DENVER POST, 10/17). Crosby and MacKinnon last year worked at a Tim Hortons drive-thru in their hometown in Nova Scotia for another set of ads (THE DAILY).
