NASCAR, ISC To Thank Sprint For Years As Cup Series Sponsor This Week At Kansas

NASCAR and ISC will have a sendoff of sorts this weekend at Kansas Speedway for outgoing title sponsor Sprint. There are six races left for Sprint, which is based in K.C., during its run as title sponsor of NASCAR's Cup series. The company will have a large presence throughout the weekend, and there will be a reception for between 800-1,000 Sprint employees on Sunday morning in the track’s Xfinity Series garage area. There also will be “Thank You Sprint” branding throughout the track including on a billboard at the main entrance. The track has rebranded its restart zone with “Thank You Sprint” signage. Kansas Speedway President Pat Warren, a former Senior Marketing Manager at Sprint before he landed his current role, said the track wanted to give Sprint a “neat and appropriate sendoff.” NASCAR has yet to announce Sprint’s successor, though it indicated in July that an announcement this month was the most likely scenario.
