FS1 Planning To Launch A New Morning Show That Would Serve As Lead-In To "Undisputed"

FS1 is "developing a new morning show that would serve as a lead-in" to its Skip Bayless-Shannon Sharpe debate show "Undisputed," according to sources cited by Michael McCarthy of SPORTING NEWS. The new show "would likely air" at 6:00am ET and run through the beginning of "Undisputed," which starts at 9:30am. The early-morning time slot has been a "black hole for FS1, which mostly airs game reruns then." The planned morning program is "still months away." A source said FS1 wants to give Bayless and Sharpe the "kind of strong, direct lead-in that Skip and Shannon are giving Colin Cowherd." McCarthy noted Nick Wright is a name he is "hearing as possible on-air talent for the planned morning show." Wright "frequently guests on 'Undisputed' and 'The Herd.'" Unlike "Undisputed," which is filmed at Fox Sports' HQ in L.A., sources said that the new morning show would "likely be produced on the East Coast" (SPORTINGNEWS.com, 10/11).
