Longtime Indy Star Racing Reporter Curt Cavin Joins IndyCar As VP/Communications

Longtime Indianapolis Star IndyCar reporter CURT CAVIN "has been hired" by the racing series as VP/Communications and will "begin his new position Oct. 24," according to the INDIANAPOLIS STAR. Cavin arrived at the Star as an intern in December '85, was the newspaper's "first regular NASCAR writer and has written about the Indy Racing League since its inception" in '96. Cavin has been a leader in "providing multimedia content while guiding a team of Indianapolis 500 reporters, photographers and editors, and he co-hosts 'Trackside with Cavin and Kevin'" on ESPN Radio 1070 Indianapolis (INDIANAPOLIS STAR, 10/8). In Indianapolis, Anthony Schoettle noted Cavin will be "responsible for gaining the series more national media coverage and expanding editorial content published through IndyCar.com and social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram" (IBJ.com, 10/7).
