Fox Sports named NEAL SCARBROUGH to the newly created role of Exec Editor and GABE SPITZER Exec Producer. Both will be based in L.A. and report to FS1/FS2 Exec VP/Content CHARLIE DIXON. Scarbrough comes from NESN and will oversee news updates and breaking news topics for FS1/FS2’s studio shows. A producer and director, Spitzer will oversee the channels’ original programming, including the development and acquisition of short and longform documentaries (John Ourand, Staff Writer). 

JAY WALKING: The Blue Jays named Red Sox Assistant Dir of Amateur Scouting STEVE SANDERS Dir of Amateur Scouting. He replaces BRIAN PARKER, who was "fired in August." The club also promoted Dir of Analytics JOE SHEEHAN to Assistant GM. Meanwhile, Dir of Pro Scouting PERRY MINASIAN will transition to the role of Special Assistant to the GM (SPORTSNET.ca, 9/29).

EXECS: Int'l Speedway Corp. CFO DAN HOUSER will retire Nov. 30, with ISC Controller and VP/Finance & Accounting GREG MOTTO succeeding him (TWITTER.com, 9/29).....Seattle Univ. named Univ. of San Diego Senior Associate AD and Senior Woman Administrator SHANEY FINK AD, effective Nov. 1 (SU)....The Aspire Group named ALEX BRANDT Georgia Tech Sales Consultant, CHRIS WEIL Louisiana Tech Sales Consultant and JOE RUTIGLIANO Univ. of Maryland Business Consultant. Aspire also hired CAITLIN LITTLE and BRANDON BILLS as Sales Consultants at its National Sales Center (Aspire).
