Bypass To Help Power Mobile Ordering, Payments With MLBAM's Ballpark App

Austin-based mobile technology and POS solutions provider Bypass announced at the ’16 AXS Sports Franchises & Facilities Conference a wide-ranging partnership with MLBAM in which the company will help power mobile ordering and payments within MLBAM’s Ballpark app, including food and beverage purchases. The partnership carries multiple levels in which a base amount of Bypass-powered services will be available to all clubs, supplemented by an optional level of solutions clubs can further elect to use. Financial terms were not disclosed, but the deal represented a significant validation for Bypass, which formed in ’10. “This is only the beginning of a relationship that will take a lot of forms,” said Bypass co-Founder & CEO Brandon Lloyd. "We see a big opportunity to collaborate with MLBAM and create step-function improvement for the industry.” The deal is roughly two years in the making, and was seriously negotiated over the past nine months.
