NFL Teams Generate Over $4M In Social Media Value With Nike Color Rush Uniform Posts

Nike and the NFL on Tuesday unveiled Color Rush uniforms for this season's "Thursday Night Football" matchups, and 28 of 32 teams posted about their respective jerseys across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Google+, according to data from social media measurement firm MVPindex. The teams posted a combined 202 times, with the total value generated by those posts on team accounts generating $4.14M in social media value in one day (Tuesday). Instagram proved to be the most valuable platform, with 40 photos posted for $2.07M in value, followed by Facebook, with 45 posts valued at $1.5M. Twitter, while having the most content, was the least-engaged platform, with 113 tweets yielding $586K in value.
